Ovario Hysterectomy (OVH) Family Planning

SPAYING / OVARIOHYSTERECTOMY in female animals.

Spaying is the common term used to describe the surgical procedure known as an ovariohysterectomy. In this procedure, the ovaries and uterus are removed completely in order to sterilize a female dog.
Ovariohysterectomy is a surgical procedure widely employed in practice by vets.
An ovariohysterectomy is a prevention method within itself, not only does it help reduce the pet overpopulation crisis, but there are many health benefits and advantages to  prevent life- threatening health conditions such as  pyometra, uterine tumours, etc.

Neutering/ Castration in male animals.

Neutering (also known as castration) is the common term used to describe the surgical procedure during which both testicles are removed in order to sterilize (make infertile) a male dog, therefore stopping its ability to reproduce.

Neutering has many advantages for the long-term health of your dog including:

1. Removes sexual urges, which usually decreases roaming behaviors.

2. Eliminate the risk of testicular cancer, the second most common cancer in intact (unneutered) dogs.

3. Reduces the risk of benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate that comes with age) and prostatitis (prostate infection).

4. Reduces the risk of hormone-related diseases such as perianal adenoma (benign tumor around the anus).

5. Reduces certain types of aggression.
6. Neutered dogs generally live longer lives than unneutered dogs.

7. Reduces the likelihood of separation anxiety or fearful elimination.
