Each 10 ml disposable pre filled syringe contains:
Cefoperazone Sodium I.P. (sterile) eqv. to Cefoperazone 250 mg
FEATURE:
The single dose treatment with Cephatin Intramammary suspension provides a high response rate in mastitis caused by major pathogens.• Cefoperazone exhibits broad spectrum activity (antibiotic sensitivity 94.4%)• Cefoperazone demonstrates enhanced efficacy against the Staphylococci, Pseudomonads and Enterobactriaceae.• Cefoperazone is relatively stable to hydrolysis to B—Lactamases produced by Gram (—) negative bacteria.
 
INDICATION:
Cephatin intramammary suspension is indicated for the treatment of clinical mastitis in lactating cattle and buffaloes. Cefoperazone is the broad spectrum cephalosporin also effective in treating pseudomonal bacterial infections.
Antibacterial Spectrum:
Cephatin Intramammary suspension is indicated for the treatment of clinical bovine mastitis caused by a wide range of organisms including the Streptococcus agalactiae; Streptococcus dysgalactiae; Streptococcus uberis; Staphlococcus aureus (including penicillinase producing strains); Escherichia coli; Corynebacterium pyogenes Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Micrococcus spp; Klebsiella spp.
 
DOSAGE:
The contents of one Cephatin intramammary suspension 10 ml syringe should be infused into the infected quarter immediately after complete milking.
